  • Hunter Coast Therapy provides Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services from our Adamstown location in Newcastle. Our therapists support children and families across the Hunter region with personalised therapy plans designed to build confidence, independence, and everyday life skills. 

  • Our main location and therapy gym is in Adamstown, Newcastle NSW. Families from across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast visit our space for therapy sessions, assessments and programs. 

  • For individual therapies we work with children and adolescents under 20 years old. Our parent coaching services are available to all parents of any age and stage in their parenting journey. For adults seeking their own individual therapies we recommend other adult based providers. 

  • Yes. Our occupational therapists support children of all ages with skills needed for everyday activities including school readiness, sensory processing, motor skills, independence, and emotional regulation. Therapy sessions can be delivered in our Newcastle space, at home, in school or in the community depending on the child’s goals. 

  • Speech Pathologists support children and young people who have challenges with speaking, understanding language, social communication, reading and writing.

  • Yes. Hunter Coast Therapy provides physiotherapy for both children and adults. Treatment may focus on mobility, balance, motor development and strength.

  • Yes. Hunter Coast Therapy is a registered NDIS provider. We work with NDIS participants and their families to on functional goals, independence, and participation in everyday life. Our team can help work towards your therapy gaols within your network of supports including support coordinators, schools and families.

  • Yes. Hunter Coast Therapy provides telehealth appointments for families across Australia, including rural and remote communities. Telehealth sessions use interactive tools, video, and guided activities so participants can access therapy from home. 

  • The first step is completing our online referral or intake form. Once submitted, our team will review your information and match you with the therapist who best suits your goals, needs and availability.

  • For persons using their NDIS funding our fees align with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Our private fees are $198 p/hour for Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy.
